Workshops
1. The stitch workshop, 'WOOL  FREESTYLE FLORAL CUSHIONS' is suitable for people who are just starting their stitch journey or for a more experienced embroiderer who would like to have a go at a more freestyle form of stitching that doesn't follow a pattern. You will be guided in a variety of easy stitches to create floral and leaf designs. This will be a chance for you to be creative in your design and colour choices. It will be a small group, which means you will be given plenty of individual support. 
You will leave the workshop with the skills to complete this project on your own. 
Materials needed for the day will be provided. 

Beverages and biscuits will be provided.

Please bring something to share for lunch.

2.Free-form stitch extension- (part 2)​

In this enriched workshop for previous workshop participants, I will demonstrate new stitches and how to build up layers of complexity within the previous stitches you have learnt. 

I will provide all the materials you need. You can choose to continue to work in wool or try linen or cotton instead. You could also choose to work in a combination of wool, cotton and linen threads. The project could be another cushion, an art piece for your wall, the beginnings of a bag or something else you might have in mind. 

It will also be a time to bring along, if you choose, work that you have done since the previous course to provide inspiration for us all.

I will provide biscuits and beverages.

3. Wool Embroidered Patchwork Blanket

This workshop will run over 7 weeks and will support you to complete a single sized wool patchwork blanket. A mixture of wool felt applique and stitch will be used. Each week you will be shown how to create a different image and be supported to make it uniquely in your own style. It will be a small group and you will be given plenty of support. 

You will be provided with the wool and threads you need for each workshop. You can either provide your own blankets or purchase what you need from me (please see details below).​​​​​​​

4.Wool Felt Applique and Stitch Tea Cosy​

In this workshop you will be shown how to applique and stitch recycled felt wool and make your own folk styled tea-cosy.

I will provide all the materials you need for the workshop.You will be provided with plenty of support within a small group situation. 

I will provide biscuits and beverages.

5. Collaged and Drawn Cards​

In this workshop we will use drawing and collage to playfully compose a card/cards.

You will be shown a few tricks that will help you overcome any drawing self doubts you might have.

6. Drawing for 9-12 years​

In this 6 week workshop we will work through a variety of different drawing techniques.

This will be a small group with plenty of 1-1 support.

All materials are provided.

7. Papier-mache sculpture for 10 years and over​

In this 6 week workshop we will create an armature and use papier-mache pulp to shape an individual designed character. 

This will be a small group with plenty of 1-1 support.
